Senior Voter Registration Event at The Korean Church Atlanta – UMC
With the help of Pastor Reverend Joong Hyuck Kim of The Korean Church Atlanta – UMC, AALAC held a Vote for Our Future voter registration event for the senior citizens attending the weekly Shalom University classes. There AALAC discussed the importance of voting. AALAC is encouraging first generation Asian Americans to promote voting withing their families from the top down. One of the senior citizens expressed it best when she explained that she votes every election because she wants to lead by example, especially because who knows, one day one of her grandchildren could be president.
