Asian American Legal Advocacy Center, Inc. (AALAC) of Georgia

Campaigns | Policy

Campaign:  To engage in a connected series of operations designed to bring about a particular result.

For AALAC, understanding the law is not enough.   AALAC uses legal education and analysis as tools to inspire the community to  action.  We develop strategies for how best to communicate and disseminate critical information to reach the greatest number of people.  AALAC treats every policy initiative as an active campaign designed to bring about positive change for and within our community.

AALAC is the only regional nonprofit that publishes original policy analyses and legal education to and for Asian Americans.  We also translate much of our work into the top 3 Asian languages spoken in the South:  Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese.  Although we focus on Asian Americans, our work is valued and used by diverse policy makers, businesses and advocacy groups.

We focus on four key social justice issues: immigration; economic justice / small business; education; and voter engagement.
